Gumbo is the African word for okra but it also refers to the stew that is created using that plant's pods. This lamp contains the ingredients found in a seafood gumbo.

Reinike gumbo lamp is a seafood delight from the oyster base to the shrimp finial. An okra plant with pods of okra completes the concoction.
Charles Reinike has for many years created pewter works celebrating natural elements from the coast. His gumbo lamp with it's oyster, shrimp and crab elements was created prior to the disaster in the Gulf and is a fitting reminder of the beauty that is beneath Earth's waters.
