Artist's Statement

Over the past twenty years,my work has evolved as I have evolved.

Current works are contemporary paintings,multi-layered, embracing the ideas of texture, materiality and the beauty of space. Carrying a sense of time and process, they are evocative of other forms, but complete within themselves.

Pigments and surfaces move through traditional styles of abstraction to references of urban walls in some pieces, the sheen of metallic surfaces working as an abstract contrast to flat surfaces in some places and replicating tarnished metal plates in others.
