Heart Throb

Heart Throb speaks in the language of the heart. Across its tall, narrow format, dark marks emerge and disappear through warm, earth-toned layers, recalling the lines of an EKG. Within the pattern, recognizable sinus rhythms appear at intervals, giving the abstract marks the unmistakable cadence of a living heart. Time moves on, and the heart has moments of stability and instability.

At the top center, a golden arch glows against the surrounding earthen colors. Reinike's arches have often suggested passage, aspiration, or the search for a more perfect space; here, the glow of the arch takes on a distinctly spiritual character. It is not simply an opening, but a luminous threshold toward something beyond the physical world.
