Sanctum opens onto a hushed devotional interior shaped by soft light and arched passages that define the room. A series of low wooden rails create subtle divisions — forming a boundary between movement and devotion. Along the left wall, red votive candles glow steadily, their flames casting a red glow on the wall behind them.
A cross stands in the distance, illuminated by a pale wash of light that slips through a painted archway. The palette of gold, muted green, and warm earth tones gives the interior a sense of age and serenity, while the large framed mural on the right adds a contemplative counterpoint, suggesting memory, ritual, and the layered stories held within sacred spaces.
More than a depiction of a single room, Sanctum evokes the experience of entering a place where time slows—a meditation on the subtle ways sacred spaces hold the essence of those who pass through them.
