Phil Sandusky's paintings are welcome additions to any collection. Because he is a plein air painter, Sandusky's paintings rarely exceed 24" X 30". Their size makes them easy to place.
Although they are representational, the paintings are very much contemporary impressionism.
Sandusky frames his paintings in a simple white border which he crafts himself. He prefers his work to be floated in the frame so he signs the work very close to the edge. Many times collectors leave the paintings in his minimal presentation frames, but the paintings are also handsome in a more traditional frame.
Sandusky's charcoals demonstrate his strong drawing ability.
